To attract pupils we advertise using internet search engines and directories, local newspapers and other media including fliers. Not only do we use a variety of advertising streams, but we also monitor their success, meaning we can target our advertising spend to get you quality pupils and keep your franchise fee down.
Stationery
To help you with running your business, we supply you with all your day to day business stationery, including a diary, business cards and receipt books etc. For added customer service, we also provide pupils with stationery including theory papers etc.
To enable you to develop as a driving instructor and to help your business grow, we have created systems for you to use to help you with your accounts and have installed some useful downloads. We also have a designated area for those taking their part 3 test, complete with common faults and aids.
We are also on hand to assist with any problem or query 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is also important that everybody in the team knows each other and so we ensure regular meet ups – it is a great opportunity to discuss any ideas you might have too, you never know if it works it might just be the next best thing!

We follow a market led pricing structure, which means, we pitch our prices slightly lower than the national schools and in line with other quality independent driving schools in your area. It is sometimes recommended to offer slightly discounted rates initially as this will fill your diary up quicker. The rates can then be increased once the workflow is steady.
We also offer a variety of courses to attract a larger market. Launched in 2009 was our sister website www.intensive.ignitiondrivingschools.co.uk enabling us to capture an even larger pupil base.

You will often see advertisements in the newspapers enticing you to become a driving instructor, many of them suggesting that by training or working with them you could potentially earn up to £30,000 per annum. Whilst this figure is obtainable it is important you do your homework first as each driving school will offer a different package to the next and it is important you find the right one for you. For example, if you were paying a driving school franchise fee of £200 per week and you were earning £21 per hour you would be better off than paying a £200 per week driving school franchise where you were earning just £19 per hour.

Ignition Driving School, although primarily based in Warwickshire, is a rapidly expanding and forward thinking driving school. Our policy is not to sit back and let the world come to us rather we want to be proactive and lead the field. What makes us different from other schools is our customer service. From the first time we meet the pupil to them passing their test we are with them every step of the way.
We pride ourselves too on being instructor focused. A happy instructor means a happy pupil, which in turn means more pupils! One way of making sure our instructors are happy is to restrict the number of instructors per area, this allows us to provide pupils at a regular rate. We only expand therefore when we are continually turning pupils away.
We believe therefore that we have struck the right balance in our work ethos – each instructor is individual and independent, the company is uniform yet distinctive. This puts us in a unique position to attract pupils and keep our instructors happy, as they are able to work freely but have the security of the team behind them.
