Choosing the right franchise is bewildering and is the most important step in building your business. We feel we understand the industry with years of expertise, but don´t just our word for it. Here is what our current instructors have to say:
Paul Gowlett:
I joined Ignition Driving School on a Trainee Licence in January 2006 and from the start of our relationship I found both Kelly and Mark extremely helpful and supportive in helping me towards my goal of qualifying and passing the Part 3 test. They gave me just the right amount of pupils to gain experience (and some income!) which at the same time allowed me to spend time with my training ´buddy´. Having qualified later that year, they have both always been readily available to offer advice and I have never had any doubt I made the correct decision in joining Ignition back in January 2006. I would highly recommend Ignition Driving School to anybody looking for a Franchise, whether they be fully qualified or on a Trainee Licence.
Jim Hosking:
I have been a Driving Instructor for over 21 years, and have previously worked with 2 well known Driving Schools. However, I wasn´t happy with the way they ran their business and the way they treated the Instructors. Then I heard that Ignition Driving School were looking for Instructors and arranged to meet with Mark and Kelly. I was very impressed with the way they ran their business, and the thought and hard work they put in to advertising, and keeping us up to date with regular meetings. They are always available if a problem arises. I am pleased I made the move, and happy to be working with them.
Jamie Andrew:
My time with Ignition Driving School has been good. Mark and Kelly were really helpful when I first joined as a PDI back in February 2008. When I needed help with Part 3, Kelly was more than helpful in telling me where I was going wrong and gave me tips on what i could do better to improve myself as an instructor and to get myself through the dreaded Part 3.
When I passed in April 2008 it was a great feeling to become a fully qualified instructor and to be part of a growing driving school that still is growing and expanding, when ever you have a problem there is always someone to talk to, not just Mark and Kelly, but also instructors like Jim and Colin, both very experienced instructors.
Now that there are 3 of us in Sheffield, we try and get together as much as possible to talk about things.
I can only see things getting better and better.
Julie Vines:
Ive been a driving instructor since July 2008, still a junior to most and still learning. I joined ignition on a trainee licence not knowing what lay ahead. I realised almost straight away i had made the right choice due to the friendly approach, help and knowledge I gained from Kelly, Mark and all their other ADI´s on board. There is always someone to chat, moan or ask advice from at the end of the telephone, which i find great! Now im growing strong in my new career along with a great successful team; which i would recommend to any PDI or ADI that are looking for this ongoing support.
Steve Perry:
Before and since joining Ignition I have found both Kelly and Mark very helpful, prepared to give good advice and creating a very enjoyable team spirit.
The process of becoming a franchise holder was straightforward and no fees were charged until a sufficient amount of pupils were in place making the move from employed to self employed that much easier.
The supply of pupils have been such that after consultation with myself another instructor was taken on in my area to both meet the demand and still maintain a regular supply of pupils for myself.
The team get togethers every 3 months or so or both instructive and good fun.
I would recommend Ignition both to established and prospective driving instructors. They are forward looking, knowledgeable and very friendly.
Steve Fitchew:
I joined Ignition in June 2008, having just failed my first attempt at the Part 3 ADI qualification. I was attracted to joining not just by the competitive franchise fee but also the size of the business - big enough to provide security but small enough to be able to have an identity. I was also impressed on first meeting Kelly and Mark by their ambition, enthusiasm and business sense. After acquiring my pink licence, Ignition subsequently provided a flow of pupils and additional Part 3 training which helped me to pass at the second attempt. Since then I have been able to build my business through regular pupil referral from Ignition as well as support in areas such as accounting and customer service. I enjoy being allowed the freedom to work my own way rather than being forced to follow a strict system. Ignition also have an excellent website facility and together with regular team meetings there is a through flow of information and opportunity for feedback. I can now look forward positively into 2010 with a full diary and knowing that help is at hand should I need it.
